For Product or Research Distribution, in smartBrokerSuite we will manage SharePoint Content Types to create the different templates for Lists & Libraries.
Create Content Type
Only Admin privileges permission user can create these content types in smartBrokerSuite. To create new content type in smartBrokerSuite follow below steps:
Step 1: Login with Admin User.
Step 2: Go To Site Action > Site Settings > Galleries > Click on “Site Content types”.
Step 3: From the below screen click “Create”
Step 4: Add the Name & Description as require for Content Type details in below form. And select the other selection as it is as shown below
Refer Content Type in Products
Once this Content Type has been created in site collection content types. You can further reference in any master list. To do so follow below steps. In our case, its ‘Products’.
Step 1: Go To Site Action > Site Settings > Site Administration > Site Libraries and Lists > Customize “Products”.
Step 2: From the below page Click on “Add from existing site content types”.
Step 3: From the below screen “Select site content type from” as Institutional Equity
Step 4: Select and add your content type as you created. And click on OK. In my case it’s “Result Update”.
Step 5: Verify the Content types added.
